Double your camping space with the new Spacemaker Two-Room Dome Tent - now with a full sewn-in floor!  Once you've tried it, you won't know how you lived without it! It doubles your camping space! Store your stuff in it to give yourself more "living space" inside the camper. Use it for shelter when it rains. Use it as an enclosed dining area with a small table and chairs, or as the kids' play area. In nice weather, open it up into a sunroom. The tent has zippered doors on three sides - one against your bus or van's side door opening (so you can move between the van and the tent), and the others on the front and opposite side for access to the tent. You can zip it up and use it as a stand-alone tent if you leave for a day trip, to mark your site and protect any belongings you left behind. Conversion to freestanding takes less than 2 minutes.

Configure the Spacemaker to your needs moment to moment, by simply rolling up sections of sides. Open up multiple sides to create a sunroom, or close them for privacy. Even when fully closed, one end of the Spacemaker has a covered front canopy to protect you from sun or rain. Between the tent and your van's side door is a 3 x 10 foot corridor that is perfect for storing coolers or a porta-potty.  

Now included at no extra cost (a $100 value) is a 4-person sleeping/changing cabin that simply clips inside the main tent, turning it into a two-room tent. Use it for sleeping, privacy, or to hide belongings.

All materials have been carefully selected to make the Spacemaker as compact and lightweight as possible, without sacrificing quality or comfort.  Rain rolls right off of its domed roof and canopy - no rain sag!  Its rip-resistant nylon material is waterproof tested to 8 feet, and storm-proof doors plus a double skirt around the bottom edge direct water away from the tent. The strong fiberglass poles are color coded for quick assembly.  Windows with mosquito screens and curtains provide privacy and ventilation. Thanks to space age materials the Spacemaker is a huge 14 x 16 feet when assembled, yet packs neatly into two included storage bags (one just 3 x 1 feet for the tent; the other 3 feet x 6 inches for the poles).

Attaching the Spacemaker to your VW van couldn't be easier, as it is designed just for this purpose. The tent simply clamps to your Bus or Vanagon rain gutter with the included clamps, and disconnects in seconds. We also offer an optional rubber channel mount if you prefer not to clamp the tent in place.  If you have a Eurovan or a non Volkswagen van that lacks a rain gutter, we have an optional mounting kit that still allows you to attach the tent without modifying your van in any way. Adapters for use on Eurovans and non-VW vehicles
Eurpoean designed side tents are meant to attach to the side of your van via a pole that sits in the rain gutter. This works fine for a Bus or a Vanagon, but what if you have a Eurovan (or a non-Volkswagen van) that doesn't have a rain gutter? Fortunately, The Bus Depot has custom solutions for you. Our suction cup adapter kit (pictured) attaches to any flat surface (such as your roof) and holds the tent in place. We also offer a different mounting kit designed especially for Eurovans with poptops (Westfalia or Winnebago), as they lack a flat roof area to accept the suction cups. Both kits allow you to use your tent without having to do any permanent modifications to your van.  Note: the prices listed below are only valid with purchase of a Bus Depot tent or awning.
